What they will do under CLS Programme
  1. Establishment of Union Level Community Legal Service Centres
  2. Deliver legal service by engaging union solicitors to deliver legal services (i.e. legal counseling, receive complaints, fact finding, mediation, rescue, victim and witness preparation, case filing and conduction, client follow up and others) at centers
  3. Digitalised selected community based legal services by equipping with computers, printers, furniture, online software, video conferencing and others equipment (i.e. web cam, modem, speakers) on pilot basis to make service faster, easier and accessible
  4. Conduct awareness of legal rights through monthly legal education sessions, IEC materials, legal education and shalish manual etc.
  5. Provide legal advice through telephone, helpline number and other media
  6. Provide legal aid through litigation including Public Interest Litigations (PIL)
  7. Advocacy campaign to amend women rights focused laws
  8. Organise advocacy program/campaign on court procedure reform, initiation of comprehensive ethics programs for judicial staff
  9. Conduct research on amendments of laws (The Marriage and Divorce Registration Act 1974 and The Child Marriage Restraint Act 1929) and improvement of prosecution of violence against women related cases at district level
  10. Training and capacity building of the staffs on effective community legal service delivery, salish, gender etc.
